Our Teaching Partners

ĀTMĀ grows its teaching community deliberately. Each teaching partner is grounded in ongoing study and personal practice, and shares a commitment to supporting students with care, curiosity and respect for the traditions of yoga.

We invite you to explore the teaching community at ĀTMĀ and and find a teacher you connect with.

Chandler Lennon

Founder & Teacher

Foundations · Grounded Flow · Saturday Vinyāsa

Chandler is a lifelong student of yoga and a teacher whose practice draws on āsana, prāṇāyāma and breathwork, and dhyāna (meditation) as interconnected aspects of a broader study. He is particularly interested in how traditional yogic practices support presence and self-understanding outside the studio. Practice becomes something you carry, not just something you do. His classes invite curiosity and continued exploration, encouraging students to find what resonates and return to it.

Training — 200-hr RYT · 14 years of practice.

Danielle Tideman

Teacher

Vinyāsa & Restore

Danielle has been teaching yoga in Hoboken and Jersey City for over eight years, with training that spans Vinyāsa, Restorative, and Pre & Postnatal instruction. Her classes are built on the belief that practice can be both welcoming and substantive — accessible without sacrificing depth. She remains a dedicated student herself, continually seeking out new teachers and approaches to bring back to the room.

Her training has been gathered the way she teaches — studio by studio, teacher by teacher.

Monisa Parekh

Teacher

Yang-to-Yin · Pure Yin

Monisa is a Yoga Therapist and a devoted student of the body — trained as an 800-hour IAYT Yoga Therapist and currently pursuing her PhD in Ayur Yoga, with a focus on anatomy, fascia, and the therapeutic applications of practice. She teaches Yang-to-Yin and Pure Yin at ĀTMĀ, drawing on her Myo Yin and Acu Yin training with Jo Phee: classes that work quietly toward fascial mobility, nervous system regulation, and lasting ease. She teaches with the precision of someone who has studied the body deeply — and the patience of someone who trusts it to open in its own time.

Her study of the body is both credentialed and continuing.

Nandita Shyam

Teacher

Sunday Vinyāsa

Yoga has been part of Nandita's life for as long as she can remember — something she grew up alongside, carried quietly through the years, and eventually returned to as a teacher. She teaches Vinyāsa at ĀTMĀ: classes rooted in breath and shaped by a lifetime of practice. She meets students without expectation, wherever they are in their relationship with yoga.

Her formal training rests on a longer foundation of lived practice.

Teacher

Yin & Breath

Angelica came to yoga in 2021 and found something she didn't know she was looking for — a practice that offered ground when the mind was loud, and presence when life felt like too much. She teaches Yin at ĀTMĀ with breath as an anchor throughout: stillness and breath as a unified practice, inviting students to discover what opens when the breath leads. She believes the most valuable thing any of us brings to practice is time and attention — and she holds that offering with care.

Her training followed the same arc as her practice — found it, then went deep.

Baldween Casseus

Teacher

Vinyāsa & Sound

Baldween views yoga and sound as parallel paths toward presence. Deeply informed by her Caribbean heritage as well as her background in coaching, she teaches a body-affirming practice without ego, where the sequence bends toward the student rather than the other way around. She teaches Vinyāsa & Sound at ĀTMĀ on Wednesday evenings: a flow that builds and then dissolves into stillness, closing with the restorative power of sound healing and whimsy. She adjusts in the moment to meet students exactly where they are, so they leave having moved with confidence and rested in resonance.

Her two disciplines were learned separately, and now arrive in the same hour.

Claire Bilavsky

Teacher

Sunday Slow Flow

Claire came to yoga in 2008 as an extension of the same inquiry that runs through her painting: how the body holds what the mind carries, and how movement can become a form of expression and release. She teaches Sunday Slow Flow at ĀTMĀ drawing on her Spirit Speak and Yin training — classes that ease from gentle, breath-connected movement into long, unhurried holds, inviting students to arrive fully and stay. She brings the same intention to her studio as to her canvas: to make space for something real.

Her training, like her art, has accumulated in layers.

Training — 200-hr YTT (Indigo Yoga) · 30-hr Yin · 30-hr Spirit Speak with Seane Corn · trauma-informed yoga · Reiki Level III · anti-oppression & racial equity study with Tamu Lane · teaching since 2018

Anumeha Taori

Teacher

Vinyāsa & Prāṇāyāma

Yoga has been part of Anumeha's life since childhood, but it was in 2022 that it became a daily practice — and the practice, she says, has only carried her upward and onward since. She teaches Vinyāsa & Prāṇāyāma at ĀTMĀ on Wednesday mornings: a breath-led flow that wakes the body, followed by seated prāṇāyāma that settles the mind for the day. What she wants to share is simple — that steadiness, ease and a quieter mind are available to anyone willing to move and breathe with attention.

Her training came after the practice was already hers.

Seema Vachhani

Sound Practitioner

Sound Bath with Seema

Seema comes to sound as a nurse first. As a Board Certified Holistic Nurse, her practice has always centered on how the body rests, recovers, and finds its way back to balance — sound is simply the tool she has found most direct. Her sound baths at ĀTMĀ are built on that same attention: an hour with crystal singing bowls and instruments, a mat and cozy props, with nothing asked of you but to lie down and let go. She holds them one Sunday evening a month, right at the edge of the week ahead.

Her care for the body came first; the bowls followed.

Mokshaa

Teacher

Haṭha & Stillness

Mokshaa has practiced yoga, prāṇāyāma and meditation since the 1990s, holds a 200-hour yoga certification, and has taught guided meditation since 2020. Her classes at ĀTMĀ draw on classical postures and her study of the ancient scriptures, moving through āsana and breath toward a stillness that lasts well beyond the mat.

She pays tribute to Patañjali by guiding you through classical yogic postures and the rhythm of breath, while holding a grounded space to slow down, disconnect from the noise, and practice true awareness of body, mind and soul.
