A space to return to practice.
ĀTMĀ Yoga Collective is a traditionally rooted yoga studio in Hoboken, New Jersey, offering movement (āsana), breathwork (prāṇāyāma), meditation (dhyāna), and opportunities for deeper self-study (svādhyāya) in a welcoming and thoughtfully designed space.
More than one way to practice.
We believe there is more than one way to engage with yoga. Whether you are new to practice or have been studying for years, ĀTMĀ offers multiple pathways to explore movement, meditation, study, group instruction, and independent practice over time.
-
Movement
Movement, breathwork, and meditation taught with care, attention, and respect for traditions from which yoga emerged.
Experience different teachers and traditionally rooted approaches as the collective continues to grow.
-
Study
Opportunities to explore yoga beyond the physical practice through philosophy, Sanskrit, history, and svādhyāya (self-study), alongside future educational offerings.
-
Open Practice
A quiet space available to members for independent practice, reflection, meditation, journaling, or simply returning to the practices that support you.
A space designed for practice.
The spaces we practice in matter.
ĀTMĀ was designed to support presence, focus, and return. Natural materials, warm light, and an intentionally simple environment create space for practice without unnecessary distraction.
Whether attending class, sitting quietly before practice, or simply taking a moment to pause, the studio is designed to support the experience rather than compete with it.
Located in Hoboken overlooking the Hudson River, the studio draws on the building’s historic character to create a space that feels grounded, welcoming, and lived in—a place to return to again and again.
What they discover through that practice is their own.
Philosophy
We take yoga seriously, but we do not take ourselves too seriously.
At ĀTMĀ, we believe thoughtful teaching, consistent practice, and ongoing study create space for exploration, reflection, and growth. Our role is not to prescribe what students should find, but to support a practice they can return to again and again.
Teaching at ĀTMĀ.
ĀTMĀ brings together teachers and practitioners rooted in thoughtful practice, ongoing study, and continued learning.
The teaching community will grow intentionally over time, bringing together a variety of voices, experiences, and approaches grounded in the traditions of yoga.
